    The Tax Management Consulting (TMC) team within Meijburg & Co advises clients on the organization of the tax function with a specific focus on tax technology & data management, tax risk management and compliance (out)sourcing.

    Your job
    In the role of Junior Tax Technology & Data Management Consultant, you will work with clients to design, build and implement effective tax processes, supported through technology and data management solutions. Companies are facing day-to-day challenges in managing the rapidly changing tax (reporting) landscape where data is becoming an increasingly important asset. Therefore, you will be analyzing client’s tax processes, identifying tax technology and data needs and providing insights on how to improve processes and implement technologies.

    At the start of your career at Meijburg & Co, you will be linked to a colleague with experience, your buddy, who will also be your point of contact. From the first moment you will be part of our diverse, dynamic and experienced team.

    Your responsibilities

    • Together with your team, you will partner with client’s tax and finance teams to identify and clearly articulate (functional) business requirements;
    • Help supporting with the implementation of fit-for-purpose solutions to meet client tax calculations, data analysis and reporting requirements;
    • Work with implementation teams to implement tax requirements into ERP systems (such as SAP S/4HANA) and implementing supporting tools like tax engines and tax reporting solutions to assist with the automation of tax calculations and processes;
    • Evaluate and document current and future state tax compliance and reporting processes;
    • Assist with data analytics projects,  including the understanding and manipulation of data across multiple data sources.

    Ideally, we are seeking a candidate with a background in taxation, complemented by a profound interest and/or experience in technology, or alternatively, someone with a strong foundation in technology who possesses a keen interest in taxes. Beyond tax and technical expertise, we are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic colleague with a strong personality, an innovative mindset and a fresh perspective. Additionally, you are communicatively skilled and service-oriented.

    As our ideal candidate, you also have

    • A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in: Tax Technology; Tax Law; Tax Economics; Information Management; Data Management; Computer Science and/or Econometrics;
    • You have completed your degree and are keen to start your career at a corporate organization;
    • A proficient command of the Dutch and/or English language, both spoken and written;
    • A strong numerical and analytical ability;
    • Knowledge of and/or experience with programming (e.g. SQL, Python) is a plus;
    • Knowledge of and/or experience with data management, analysis and visualization techniques and platforms (e.g. MS Power BI, Alteryx/KNIME, Snowflake) is a plus;
    • Knowledge of and/or experience with tax technology projects, tax engines and/or ERP systems like SAP is a plus;
    • Knowledge of or affinity with tax (compliance) processes (e.g. Direct Tax, Transfer Pricing or Indirect Tax);
    • A representative appearance, you are communicatively skilled, and above all, a pleasant colleague!
